- GROW A GORGEOUS FLOWER GARDEN -
This workshop will be offered simply out of the need for beauty, sheer beauty!
This bunch of flowers was a gift from a dear friend.
Just like home baking and homemade preserves, they meant the world to me as they came “from the garden”.
Having been a “low maintenance natives” kind of person myself due to total lack of inspiration and energy, I am now determined to do the same for my friends and family.
When: Sun 15th Oct, 10am-3pm
Where: Wainui/Waitoki area, address tba
Cost: $80

I have worked in retail, where I gained an enormous amount of knowledge. I have also worked for a growing nursery and a hire plant company. Finally I set up and ran my own landscaping and indoor plant company for eleven years, until retiring from paid work eight years ago. Most of my time is currently taken up with my own garden, study and volunteer work. Most of my time is currently taken up with my own garden, study and volunteer work. Hobbies: My favourite hobbies are gardening and tramping. Currently Reading: I read non-fiction unless the book has a botanical or horticultural theme. I have just finished reading "The signature of all things" by Elizabeth Gilbert, which I absolutely loved. What are you most passionate about?: I am absolutely passionate about our environment and living sustainably and am thrilled to be living on a lifestyle block where I can put into practice some of my vision. Fave food: My favourite meal is anything that I have grown and picked myself. If I could have changed one thing while I was at school: If I had my time over again I would have studied botany upon leaving school, but am making up for it now by slowly working towards a Bachelor of Applied Science majoring in the Environment. Other than my children, the thing I love so much that all else fades into insignificance: ther than my children and husband, I love the most my beautiful friends, who support and look out for me.
